Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds the Honorary Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She was widely credited with establishing the current study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and also children's witnesses. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer, has won several prizes and grants. She has offered advice on policy and research to numerous agencies and government departments from all over the world. She acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has served as president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, as well as three Divisions: the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
